This blog will be a space to post historical documents and lineage to my extended family tree. The point of this blog is to have a source for information, easily searchable with links to documented evidence of my ancestors. At times links may be through pay sites, such as ancestry.com. I apologize for any inconvenience that may cause to people looking through the blog, but Ancestry has the best search functions and ways to demonstrate the family tree that I have found to date.
My hope is to not only have my direct ancestors family information, but their relatives and other cousins. I will attempt to include as much additional information that I can while doing this research.
If you find this blog because you are doing your own family research, may I suggest a few very helpful links that have so far helped me in my research:
Ancestry.com - The most well-known genealogy tool out there. Start a tree, click a leaf and get going. The advanced search features are great tools.
Family Search - Family Search is ran by the Church of Latter-Day Saints of Jesus Christ. They have very extensive files on family lineage. I would caution using information from this site without additional research. Not everything has a source.
Find a Grave - Find A Grave is a site that shows memorials, headstones, and cemeteries. Enter a name and an approximate location or date of birth and you may find a long lost relative here.
There are many other useful tools on the web for searching for ancestors. As I find more links, I will update the side bar with them.
Happy Researching!
